Was this attorney government-funded to provide adoption? When adopting in the US you should make certain that whichever agency you go through is accountable to the government.

Well, maybe they should have tried to adopt a little older child.. Like the ones that rot away in foster care. You know through legal channels.What is with the obsession with babies??

I get we are hard wired for it. But it seems since that knowledge is widely available we could choose to make chooses based on reason instead of raw emotion desire.It’s not like babies you adopt have your genes anyway.  So why not get an older kid. One that can talk and maybe not need its ass wiped by you. (these are my preferences, I guess some people might like changing diapers)

nadiaTeeze: I myself was adopted before I was born and people often ask me if I’m mad at my birth parents for not keeping me. Of coarse not! I have nothing but the utmost respect for their decision. They recognized that they would not be able to take on the responsibility and made certain that I was put in the hands of someone who could.This influenced my desire to work with foster children along with other kids who have single parents. I think adopting a kid at any age is great!
